Mary Catherine Kroemer

Mary Catherine “Katie” Kroemer, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 28, 2015. Born on August 7, 1925, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Maximillian J. and Harriet M. (Hammersmith) Wilhelm. A member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Fort Wayne; she retired in 1984 from Lutheran Hospital after more than 40 years of service as a registered nurse. She is survived by her children, Richard A. Kroemer, Steven A. Kroemer and Carol S. Whistler; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arthur W. Kroemer, in 1985. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am on, Monday, January 4, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm, Sunday, January 3, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Saint Mary’s Soup Kitchen.
