MARY AGNES FOX, of Fort Wayne, was called home to our Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2015, surrounded by her family, at Chester-wood Village, Ohio. Born July 27, 1921 in Hessen Cassel, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Cecilia (Suelzer) and Celestine Wyss. Mary was a devout Catholic and active member of St. John the Baptist parish, Fort Wayne. She worked at General Electric, the IRS, and was a long time member of the Delta Sigma Kappa sorority. She was a talented seamstress, artist, decorator, and homemaker, who cherished time with her family. "She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend."
She will be missed by surviving twin daughters, Maureen (Jeff) Steinacker of Mason, Ohio and Michelle (Tim) Crowder of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Tiffany, Nicholas, Abigail and Carly; and great-grandson, Alex; sister, Josephine Wyss; brother-in-law, Francis Coomes; and sister-in-law, Gertie Wyss, all of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Russell J. Fox; sisters, Vivian Wyss and Helen Coomes; brothers, Paul, Mark and John Wyss.
Mass of Christian Burial is 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, with calling starting at 11 a.m. until service time. A visitation and service was also held Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Mueller Funeral Home, Mason, Ohio. Entombment in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, or St. Susanna Catholic Church, Mason, Ohio.
