Mary Lou Banks

Mary Lou Banks, 86, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Born on March 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Lucinda (Burry) Pettit. She worked at General Electric. She was an avid IU basketball fan; a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Eastern Star, and Elex Club. She enjoyed spending time doing puzzles and watching butterflies. Surviving family includes her children, Jerry (Becky) Owen, Daniel (Patti) Owen, Nancy Raines, Jane Banks, Robert Banks; brother, Glenn (Mary Ann) Pettit; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Carl R. Banks; sons, Fred and Steve Banks; a son-in-law; and two grandsons. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 11 a.m.. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
