Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals
Mary Ann Boyer, 82 of Fort Wayne passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at her home. She was born October 18, 1928 to the late Robert E. and Lucinda (Dennis) Nash. Mrs. Boyer worked at Lincoln Life, Legal Services of Maumee Valley and Anthony Wayne Living Center as a Social Worker, retiring in 1988. She was an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church, took part in Bible study, small faith group, prayer line and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. She was an avid reader, enjoyed taking cruises with her husband and friends, and attended several Elder Hostels. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending holiday family dinners and she will be remembered for her ham gravy and red velvet cake. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Nancy), David (Natalie), Anita Raiford, Matthew (Deb), Ann (Kevin) Zelt and Dennis (Ann); nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Boyer in July of 1989 and her son Michael John Boyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Ft. Wayne. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 17, 2011 with a Rosary service to begin at 7:45 PM at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Ft. Wayne. In lieu of flowers preferred memorials can be made to St. Therese Catholic Church Building Fund or to Children’s Autism Center.
