MARIE FRANCES JORDAN, 93, went Home to be with her Savior, Friday, July 23, 2021, at St. Anne's Home and Retirement Community in Fort Wayne, Ind. Born Oct. 5, 1927 in Fort Wayne, Ind., she was the daughter of Anthony and Mary Meyer.
Marie's parents died when she and her siblings were young. Marie will be remembered by her sister as somebody who helped guide her into adulthood. Beloved by all who knew her, she faithfully loved and served the Lord and her family. She will be remembered most for her sense of humor, fun loving personality, her love for the church and playing games and cards with those she loved. "We will dearly miss our 'card shark'."
She is survived by her son, Bill Jordan; grandchild, Danielle (Danny) Tenney; great-grandchildren, Leicea and Edison Tenney; sister; Agnes Balcer. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Vivianna Jordan; siblings: sister, Paschal (Velma Meyer), Stella (Joe) Ehinger, Irene (Eugene) Schlink, and brother, Raymond Meyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 2110 Pemberton Dr., Fort Wayne (IN 46805) with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne (IN 46805). Burial will take place in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Masses, St. Anne's Home and Retirement Community or St. Jude's Catholic Church and School.
