Luann Coy

Luann Coy, 80, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born July 4, 1941 in Wells County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy Louise VanZant.

Luann was the former owner of C&L Laundry, and she was a beautician for several years. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, spending time with the ladies from Shoaff Park Baptist Church, and she loved to travel.

Luann is survived by her children, Ronald (Rhonda Baker) Stewart, Renee Welch, both of Fort Wayne, IN; step-daughters, Chris (Tom) Diehl of New Haven, IN, Michell (Evan) Adelson of San Diego, CA, Lisa (Greg) Jourdan of Wenatchee, WA; sister, Shelby Jean Gilbert of Wabash, IN; brother, Larry VanZant of Fort Wayne, IN; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Chester “Chet” Arthur Coy, in 2019.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 27, 2022, at D.O McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also take place from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Haverstock Cemetery, Zanesville, Indiana.
