Leo R. Walker, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Majestic Care-Jefferson Pointe. Born September 20, 1937 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Ralph Walker and Mae (Brite) Riddle. Leo was a bartender at High Spot in Fort Wayne for several years and later was an insulator with Fort Wayne Urethane for over 10 years, from which he retired. He enjoyed cooking, painting, drawing, crafting, and repurposing household items. Known to many as the Do Dah Man, he loved music, playing harmonica, and being the life of the party. He was the master of telling creative and far-fetched stories. He is survived by his son, Drew (Maggi) Walker of Fort Wayne; stepsons, Richard (Robin) Oakley of Huntertown, Herbert (Stacy) Oakley of Huntington, and Ted (Lorene) Troyer of Decatur; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Freda Barva of Ossian, Ben (Edie) Walker of Wolf Lake, Calvin Walker of Fort Wayne, and Francis (John) Poli of Detroit, Mich. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Mic Walker, Joella Troop, and Vera Lepper. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
