Lawrence J. “Larry” Moran II, 67, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. He was born on July 28, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Lawrence James and Margaret R. (Connell) Moran. He was a member of Carpenters Local 232 for 35 years, spending the last six years as the business agent before retiring on April 1, 2010. He was an active member of Friends with Bill W. as well as the Auburn and Southwest Conservation Club. In his free time, he enjoyed hiking, shooting, and riding his motorcycle. He will be remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor, wisdom, the fact that he never knew a stranger, and his love and devotion to his family. Surviving family include his wife, Debbie Moran; son, David (Megan) Moran; step-daughter, Janell (Brent) Fields; grandchildren, Avery Lynn, Mason, and Ariana; siblings, Denny (Pam) and Kevin Moran, and Nancy Kaiser. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Carpenters Local 232, 1520 Profit Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, or Blue Jacket.
