Larry Maurice Jackson

Larry Maurice Jackson, age 86, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away, Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Lutheran Life Villages at Pine Valley. He was born on November 13, 1937, in Whitley County, Indiana. On June 13, 1964, Larry married Virginia Peters in Churubusco, Indiana. In 1999, Larry retired from Navistar after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed coin collecting and NASCAR racing. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling. Larry is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Cramer; brother, Keith (Phyllis) Jackson; sisters, Kay Altekruse and Elizabeth (Steve) Scarlett; four grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Boggs, Melissa (Carl) Voltz, Tracie Wicker and Michael Cramer; 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Erna Jackson; wife of 54 years, Virginia Jackson; daughter, Carolyn Boggs; and a great-grandson, David Boggs. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes Pine Valley, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024 starting at 10:00 am and continue until time of service. Larry will be laid to rest next to his wife, Virginia, at Eel River Cemetery.
