Obituary of Keith Alan Colchin
Keith Alan Colchin, 74, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on May 7, 2017. He was born on March 5, 1943 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Kenneth and Ruby (Garhart) Colchin. Keith was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His family, friends, and home were most important to him. He was a life-long hot-rodder, builder, fabricator of street rods and street machines, and just about everything else. He was very active in the Fort Wayne Street Rod Association through the 70’s and 80’s. He loved drag racing, tractor pulling, old cars, old tractors, and old western series and movies. He was a mechanic that ran his own auto station and garage for over 30 years at the intersection of Leesburg and Washington Center Road; that his parents started in 1952. He graduated from Arcola High School in 1961. Keith is survived by his wife, Deborah Colchin; children, Andy Colchin and Kimberly (Michael) Folds; step-children, Jennifer Thomas, Todd Skevington, Leisa Skevington, Patrick Skevington, and Desiree Skevington; grandchildren, Ryan Colchin who is a proud marine, Jake Colchin, Grace Folds, and Jaxon Folds; step-grandchildren, Michael Folds, Connie Jacquay, Christian Bramburger, Autumn Skevington, Jackie Skevington, Kayla Skevington, Morgan Thomas, Alivia Thomas, Isabella Wilson, Kennedy Romero, Alexander Skevington, and Soleil Lockhart; step-greatgrandchildren, Dillyn Jacquay, Collin Jacquay, Garrison Jacquay, Allison Jacquay, Carson Jacquay, and Isabella Folds; brother, Jack Colchin; and brother-in-law’s, Steven (Diana) Overly, Mark (Colette) Overly, and Gary (Dori Arnold) Overly. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny (Ilene) Colchin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Jr. and Jacqueline Roman; and step-granddaughter, Eliana Kosina. His Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the family’s home (12101 W. Washington Center Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46818).
