Karen S. Giant

Karen S. Giant, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at her residence. She was born on March 7, 1937 in Fort Wayne to the late Jack McNabb amd Mary (Smith) McNabb. Ms. Giant worked many years as a florist for several area flower shops, and later went on to work for Lutheran. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, reading, and most of all her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Gregory, Michael (Cindy) Giant and Brenda (Steve) Woznick; grandchildren, Shannon, Chantelle, and Carrie (Matt); nine great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and a sister Mary Lou Keele. Karen was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Giant; and siblings, Robert, Richard, Nancy, Sandra, and an infant brother. Funeral services will be Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804. Calling will be on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 4 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park . Memorials may be directed to Heartland Hospice, the Foellinger-Friemann Botanical Conservatory, or Humane of Fort Wayne.
