Karen Lynn Furnish, 58, of Leo, died on May 4, 2014, at her home, after a year long courageous fight with cancer, exceeding all expectations. Born on May 16, 1955, in Hicksville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late A.L. “Tim” and Barbara J. (Foster) Timmerman. A member of County Line Church of God, Auburn, the Pretty Lake Association and a 1973 graduate of Leo High School. She worked for Grabill Bank, Lincoln Life, Wells Fargo and Parkview Medical Center. “She enjoyed family and friends, kayaking, camping, Bible study, crafting, baking, and her flower garden.” She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Terry L. Furnish; children, Brandy (Randy Collins) Bailey, Kris (Tasha) Furnish and Gabe (Lisa) Furnish, all of Leo; 11 grandchildren, Cody, Chelsea, Emily, Kylee, Jordyn, Hunter, Ella, Aiden, Camden, Cody and Luke; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Gail (Jim) Morris, of Columbia City, Robin Timmerman, of Monticello, Gary Timmerman, of Florida; Mother-in-law, Evelyn Edwards, of Leo; sister-in-law, Pam (Gary) Keipper, of Grabill; and canine companion, Dayzee. Funeral service will be 1 PM Thursday May 8, 2014, at County Line Church of God, 7716 N. County Line Road East, Auburn, with calling from 11 to 1 prior to service. Calling will also be held from 2 to 8 PM Wednesday May 7, at the church. Burial will be in Leo Cemetery, Leo. Memorial donations may be given to Cancer Services of NE Indiana or Visiting Nurse Hospice Home. Arrangements under the direction of Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, IN.
