Obituary of Julia Lee Bloom
Julia Lee (née Tharp) Bloom was born in Houston, Texas on March 10, 1990. She moved with her family to Fort Wayne, Ind. in 1990. Julia graduated from Homestead High School in 2008. She was a graduate of Master of Cosmetology and a licensed hair stylist at Profiles in Fort Wayne. Her unexpected death, on January 26, was preceded by a short illness due to prior complications from a routine surgical procedure. Julia was loved by many, many family and friends who have described her as the “one who could light up the room,” the “friend with the best smile,” and “the most beautiful girl with the biggest heart.” She was the true love of her husband Nick and the “best mom in the world,” to her two precious sons, Corbin and Kade. Julia managed with ease to work as a hair stylist, part-time for the last ten years, while she continued to maintain her wish to be a stay-at-home mom for her boys. Julia was a “mamma bear” who always prioritized the needs and care of her family. She enjoyed cooking home-made meals for her family and enjoyed doing crafts and playing games with her boys. Julia loved to host parties for her friends and blended family and there was always a beautiful smile, hug, and kiss for everyone. Julia showed us how and invited us all to enjoy the simple joys in life. Often, she would be outside playing with her boys and dogs, feeding the birds, walking on her trails in the woods or enjoying time with her family at the park, the zoo or pool. Julia loved hanging out with her husband, and friends, talking and laughing around a campfire listening to her favorite country music, or fishing from the boat with her family on the lake. Julia loved to shop for antiques and make old furniture new again. She loved being a hair stylist and was a master at cutting and coloring hair; some called it “magic.” Julia is survived by her loving and amazing husband, Nicholas (Nick) Bloom; her precious sons Corbin, aged 8, and Kade, aged 4, of Yoder, Ind. Julia will always be loved and greatly missed by her heartbroken family including mother and stepfather, Yvonne (Carl) Park of Churubusco, Ind.; father and stepmother, Lee (Becky) Tharp; her only sibling and sister, Jennifer Cox, all of Fort Wayne; mother in-law, Patty Stier-Bloom of Yoder; father-in-law and stepmother-in law, Randy (Kristy) Bloom; step sister-in-law, Kelsey Clark; cherished brother-in law and sister-in law, Zach (Lauren) Bloom, all of Fort Wayne. Julia has also left behind a heartbroken extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles including her maternal grandfather and grandmother, Ray (Phyllis) Sells of Nashville, Tenn.; paternal grandmother, Reba Cabiniss Tharp of Kendallville, Ind.; her beloved nieces and a nephew with whom she had a special bond and loved very much, Jaylynn, Jerica, and Jesse Cox of Fort Wayne. Julia will be forever loved and remembered by a massive village of friends who will cherish her memory and be reminded of her special legacy for a lifetime as well as continue to provide support and care for Nick, Corbin and Kade. A Celebration of Life will be held later this year and details will be shared with family and friends. In lieu of flowers or gifts, monetary donations for Nick, Corbin and Kade are much appreciated and can be made through the Fundraiser for Nicholas Bloom on Gofundme.com via Facebook.
