Joseph E McDonald Sr., age 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022. He was born March 24, 1941 in Huntington, Ind. to the late E. J. and Dorothy Lee McDonald. Joseph attended Huntington High School; he spent his life working in the auto industry with Kelley Buick and McMahon Tire, retiring in June 30, 2008. He married the love of his life, Freda J. Knepler on May 28, 1999; they enjoyed teaching youth bowling at Village Bowl, golf, travel, dancing, summer BBQ's and holidays with family. Joseph was an avid Chicago Bears Fan, loved fishing, auto racing, Westerns, Bruce Lee, and wrestling. He is survived by his children, Joseph McDonald Jr., Toni (Tracey) McDonald, Christina McDonald, and Tonya Kelsaw; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and two nephews; sister-in-law, Ilene McDonald. Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Freda; siblings, Thomas (Joretta) McDonald, Sr., Ronald L. (Gayle) McDonald, Sr., and Jerry McDonald. Funeral Service is 1:00 pm on Monday, November 21 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Mungovan, 2114 S. Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne with calling two hours prior; Interment at Highland Park Cemetery.
