She attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She was employed by Donald A. Bollheimer, M.D. as his surgical assistant, until her retirement.
Joline was a member of the American Medical Association Auxiliary and the Indiana State Medical Association Auxiliary. She served on the board of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and as Chairman of Advertising. She also served as a member of the Board of Deacons at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Angola, IN. Her favorite pastime was playing bridge with the Lake George bridge group.
Surviving are her daughters, Deborah A. Wirts and Susan L. Elzey both of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Gregory A. David (Jackie) of Hamilton, IN; stepdaughter, Anne Vogt of Estes Park, CO; stepsons, Bob Keyes (Mary) of Thornville, OH and Jeffrey S. Keyes (Lisa) of Buckeye Lake, OH; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelli Jo Schenkel and husband, Robert C. Keyes, M.D.
A visitation for Joline will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Lindenwood Cemetery.
