John Alan Williams, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2018. Born on August 2, 1934, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late John and Flossie Williams. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, and proudly served his country as a Staff Sargent in the Air Force, from 1951 to 1956. He retired from Kunkle Valve, after more than 24 years of service as an Engineering Supervisor; a member of the Leo Masonic Lodge #224, and was a Central High School Alumni. John loved fishing and hunting with his many buddies.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret Williams; children, Gary (Cindi) Williams, of Cary, North Carolina, Suzin (Matt) Vincent, of Sarasota, Florida, Ted Holocher, of Fort Wayne, and Lori (Bob) McKinley, of Berne; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews.
A celebration of John’s Life will be held from 2 to 4pm, Saturday, May 12, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Agape Respite Care of Berne, agaperespite.org, or Shepherds House for Veterans, Fort Wayne, shepherdshouse.org.
