John Gerard Kline

John Gerard Kline, 69, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 10, 2024 at home. John was born April 15, 1955 in Fort Wayne to Joseph and Bernadette (Vonderhaar) Kline. He married Julie Neuhaus on April 19, 1974. John was a simple man with a great sense of humor. He was very funny and enjoyed a good one liner. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in their yard and loved his dog, “Gracie”. He liked old time rock and roll and was a great dancer. His favorite teams were the Chicago Bears, Ohio State Buckeyes and Chicago Cubs. John was a member of the American Legion Post 82. Some of John’s most cherished times were spent with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Julie; three children, Kelly (Samuel) Geller of Churubusco, Eric Kline of Fort Wayne and Kevin (Joni) Kline of Zanesville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Emily, Camden, Jaxson, Lucas and Preston; four siblings, Tom (Nancy) Kline, Don (Rebecca) Kline, Terri (Troy) Kinsey and Ron Kline. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Julie Freygang and Karen Nicholson. A memorial visitation will be Friday, November 15, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be directed to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control or Parkview Hospice.
