Jimmy Hartman

Jimmy D Hartman, 62, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2021. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on February 3, 1958 a son of the late Arthur Hartman, and Helen Hartman, who survives. His work career began at Coney Island Hotdog at the age of 16 where he worked for three years. He then worked for Taylor Martin/Ris from 1980 to 1991. From 1991 to 2021 Jim worked for Unisource/Veritiv. He was a coach for Oslo Little League for over 10 years. Jim seriously lit up a room with his presence. Kids would comime running, adults would have big smiles ready to share a joke or a story, teenagers were ready to talk about their current or future goals in life with him. Most of the time he made the conversation all about you. He made everyone feel as though they mattered the most to him. His wife, Donna is a nurse and it was a gift for her to get to take care of him the past few years. God prepared her so well. Jim & Donna's deep faith & love for God was number one in their life. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Donna Hartman; son, David (Charity) Hartman; three grandsons; brother, Tim (Kim) Hartman; sister, Kim (Rick) Hartman, Tammy (Jimmy) Faust; many beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco, IN.
