James D. Nelson

James D Nelson, 85, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on July 9, 2020. He was the son of the Late Nathan C. and Katharyne (Dixon) Nelson. James retired as a Teacher from FWCS after teaching for 6 years in 1991 after teaching at North Adams Community Schools for 27. He was a Navy and Air Force veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his children; Marilyn Nelson of Decatur, Sons Ron (Cindy) Nelson of Ft. Wayne, Craig of New Haven, Camaron of Decatur, grandsons: Justin Michael, Joshua Nelson and Jacob Nelson. Services will be held on Tuesday July 14 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation from 12:00-2:00 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home. Burial with military honors in Covington Memorial Gardens.
