James H. Gehman

James H. Gehman, 86, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Born on September 2, 1936, in Vinco, Pennsylvania, he was a son of a late Ord and Thelma (Hoyt) Gehman.
James proudly served his country in the Air National Guard, and was a member of Brookside Church, Fort Wayne. He worked for Berne Furniture, Mutual Security Life Insurance Company, Builders Square, and Lowes.
He is survived by his wife of more than 66 years, Margery I. (Lehman) Gehman; children, Janelle (Danny) Roach, Jon (Sheryl) Gehman, Jeffrey (Sheryl) Gehman; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bruns; brothers, David, Paul, Mahlon, and Daniel Gehman; sister, Miriam Kuipers; as well as 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, James A. Gehman; granddaughter, Adriana Gehman; and great-granddaughter, Kyla Gehman.
A funeral service to honor James' life and legacy will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Brookside Church, 6201 Evard Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 10:00am, until time of service. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Arr. by D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne.
