IRENE H. DOCTOR, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at home Friday, April 4, 2014. She was born March 13, 1933, in Decatur, Ind., a daughter of the late Simon and Velma (Bohnke) Thieme. She worked at Krouse, Kern, and Accounting for many years, from which she retired. She was also a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven. Irene loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of over 57 years, Kenneth W. Doctor; son, Kevin (Sarah) Doctor; daughters, Gail (Mark) Jenkins and Dianna Galentine, all of Fort Wayne; as well as seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard (Judy) Thieme of Decatur, Ind.; sisters, Marcella Lake of Newberry, S.C. and LaVerne Macke of Batavia, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dave Galentine. Services were held privately for the family.
