Henry "Hank" Sorg

Henry J. “Hank” Sorg, 87, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Kingston Residence. He was born January 11, 1933 in Fort Wayne, son of the late Urban and Loretta (Till) Sorg. He worked as a printer in the Local 19 Printer’s Union, retiring in 1993. Hank was a member of St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Phyllis A. (Christman) Sorg of Fort Wayne; children, Donna (Davy) Engle of Fort Wayne, Debra (Wayne) Gordon of Fort Wayne, David Sorg of Fort Wayne, Joseph (Karen) Sorg of Southern Indiana, Gregory (Patti) Sorg of Southern Indiana, and Jeff (Barb) Sorg of Fort Wayne; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and sister, Clara Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, infant Joseph Henry Sorg, Dale Sorg, Carl Sorg, Robert Sorg; and sisters, Luella Miller, Viola Beard, and Marie Speith. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, 11337 Old Decatur Road South, Fort Wayne, IN 46816, with no visitation prior. The Mass will be Live Streamed On the Funeral Home’s Facebook Page starting at 11 AM. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at D. O. McComb Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46807. Allen County guidelines for gathering and mask wearing will be adhered to during the services for Hank. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions, in memory of Hank may be made to St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church.
