Helen Irene Fairfield

Helen entered the gates of heaven as graciously as she lived her life, never wavering in her trust in Jesus Christ her Savior. Helen was born April 30, 1931 at her grandparent’s home in Miami County Indiana to LeRoy & Dorothy Stout. She was reborn in the waters of baptism as an adult when she met her future husband James Winston Fairfield. They were married 66 years when Jim preceded Helen to their eternal home. Jesus came for Helen on December 29, 2022.

The marriage was blessed with seven well-loved children who adored their “Mama.” James (Chris) Fairfield, Dottie (Dave) Enters, Elizabeth (Eric) Pankow, Linda Grys, William (Lori) Fairfield, Barbie (Matthew) Hall, Jennifer (Mike) Messmann. Eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren (plus one preborn baby) were Helen’s joy and delight. Preceded to heaven by grandson Miles C. Bleke.

Helen leaves behind sister Mary Carroll and brother Gene Stout as well as many nieces and nephews.

Helen was an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother. She exemplified the Proverbs 31 woman. She will be deeply missed until reunited with the family of believers at the Great High Feast.

Memorial donations may be given to Concordia Lutheran Church or Eyewitness for Life (eyewitnessforlife.org).

Calling will be held Saturday, January 7th from 10 am – 12:00 Noon at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4245 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Celebration of Life at 12:00 Noon.
