Harold Eugene Creed, 82, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Canterbury Nursing Home of Fort Wayne. He was born May 20, 1940, in Bluffton, Indiana, the son of the late Arnold and Pauline Creed.
Harold graduated from Bluffton High School in 1958. He was a proud Veteran having served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-1963. Harold worked at Tokheim for 37 years, retiring as a group leader in 2002.
Harold is survived by his children, Vonda (Barry) Salway of Fort Wayne, IN, Scott (Wendi) Creed of New Haven, IN; brother, Roger (Carol) Creed of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Ruth Ann Creed of Bluffton, IN; grandchildren, Tyler and Dakota Salway, and Kaytlyn and Taylor Creed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah E. Creed, in 2009.
A Celebration of Life Gathering to honor Harold's life and legacy will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. In a private family ceremony, he will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
