Glenn "Redd" Leigh Johnson

Glenn L. Johnson, affectionately known as Redd, was born September 14, 1949, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Parnell and Bernice Johnson. He was formally educated at South Side High School and Ivy Tech College in Fort Wayne, IN. He was a welder and construction worker by trade. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He has been a proud member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. Since retirement, he has enjoyed political debates, spending time with family and friends, gardening, fishing, pyrotechnics, and giving to others.
He is survived by daughters Arletta Baldwin, Danielle Morrison, special daughter Dymond Fincher, all of Fort Wayne, Dejah Morrison of North Carolina; son Wisdom Fincher also of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Kenneth Baldwin, Jerrell Ward, Anasha Nelson, Zavier Jones, Chant Morrison, Aniious, Nalij (Knowledge), Kanarri Rain (Canary Rain), & Amyreyanna Fincher, great-grands Dawson, Karter, Naimere, & Kar’Leigh Baldwin; ex-wife Ollie Harvey; surviving siblings Cherry (David) Tinnin, Nancy Gray, Sybil (Walter) Brunson, and Marsha (Mane) Booker and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones. He was preceded in death by parents Parnell & Bernice Johnson, siblings Carroll, Edward, Frank, Anita, and Bettie.
Funeral Service is 11 AM Saturday, June 1 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2200 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Friends and family will also be received on Friday, from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakes, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne. Interment at Lindenwood Cemetery.
