Gilberta M. Holman, 90, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016. She was born on October 6, 1925 in Kingston, Rhode Island to the late Raoul and Maria (Marquis) Clouatre. Gil resided in Waynedale for 67 years. She worked and retired after 22 years from Sharkey’s T.V. & Appliances, Waynedale. Gil was a founding member of St. Therese Catholic Church and participated in the Dedication Ceremony of the new church in 2003. She was the Treasurer of St. Francis College Guild and a professed member since 1985 of the Secular Franciscan Order. Gil was an avid bridge player, a devoted caregiver to her beloved dogs, and always noticed a convertible on the roadway. Surviving family include her son, William “Bill” Holman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Hugh B. Holman. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne, Indiana with a prayer and rosary service starting at 7:15 pm. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church.
