George Alan Johnson

George Alan Johnson Jr, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on January 2, 2023. Al was born on August 18, 1968, in Decatur, Illinois. He graduated from Fort Wayne Southside High School in 1987. He stayed involved within the Fort Wayne Community and cherished his friendships. He was a member of Destiny Life Center where Pastor Karen Staten shepherd the church. He accepted Christ and rededicated his life through baptism. He was a brother and son to all! He is survived by his mother, Ora Dean Young (Fort Wayne, IN); brother Larry G. Young (Tulsa, OK), Samuel (Lisa) Young (Bloomington, IN), Lashonda Young (Indianapolis, IN), Trois (Troy) Jones (Indianapolis, IN); nieces and nephews, Anthony (Eden) Jordan, Christopher Jordan, Shiloh Means, Naomi Young, Samuel Young III, Elijah Young, Aliyah Young, Troy Jones Jr., and Teana Jones; and his biological sister, Denise Bell (Texas). He loved his family and friends. If you were a friend of his, you were also a brother or sister. George was proceeded death by father, Samuel R. Young (Decatur, IL), and biological mother, Ruby Johnson (Decatur, IL). To honor George’s Memory, we are holding a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Destiny Life Center, 3601 Warsaw Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46806.
