Florence Frances Alexander, 85 a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always had a kind word and smile for everyone she met, left this world on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Florence was born on August 2, 1936 to the late Alexander and Grace Raywood and was raised in Paterson, New Jersey. She met her husband Raymond B. Alexander when he was in the Korean war. Their friendship started as pen pals and they were soon married when he returned from the war. They were married for 49 years at the time of his passing in January 2001, raising seven children. Florence loved spending time with family, she was at her happiest when her family was all together joking and laughing. Florence retired from Aon after 15 years. She is survived by her seven children, Russell (Pam) Alexander, Jeff (Beth) Alexander, Colleen (Tim) Reichenbach, Donna (Gary) Lehman, Keith (Denise) Alexander, Ray (Carla) Alexander and Brian (Jessica) Alexander; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Our Hope Lutheran Church 1826 Trinity Drive Huntertown, Indiana 46748 with visitation beginning at 10:30am. Burial to follow the service at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Riley Children's Hospital.
