Elizabeth Lucille Vinson, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at her home. She was born in Union, South Dakota on April 19, 1937 to the late Carrol W. Finley and Esther M. (Jensen) Meyer. She married Shelby C. Vinson and they enjoyed 56 years together, he survives her in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Vinson worked for Leath Furniture in Fort Wayne for 29 years. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, baking, talking with family and friends, and most importantly, loved to spend time with her family. Elizabeth cared deeply about her family and friends; she was always interested in learning everything she could about them. She really took the time to get to know you and wanted the best for everyone. She was so positive, even during the tough times. She lit up the room with her smile and loving heart. There was never a shortage of hugs and kisses. Every birthday and Christmas card was sure to have an uplifting devotional accompanying it. She is also survived by her children, E.J. (Renee) Grider, Rhonda (Scott) Lahr, Christopher (Andrea) Vinson, Elizabeth Elaine (Randy Cameron Jr.) Vinson; and step-son, Robin Vinson; 23 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, William Finley and Robert Finley.
