Elizabeth Therese Boggess (“Frau”), 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Elizabeth was born November 21, 1939 in Gyor, Hungary, daughter to the late Laszlo and Elizabeth (Rado) Szegedy. She worked as a German, English, and World History teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools for over 37 years, teaching at Snider High School for 32 years. She loved being a mother and helping others-especially children. Her hobbies were crocheting blankets, needlepointing, and shopping. She was survived by her husband, Bryan Boggess until his death on December 12, 2023. Surviving family includes a daughter, Lisa (Manuel Alvarez) Boggess of Illinois; son, David Boggess of Austin, TX; and grandson, Eric. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Margaret Falls and Mary Chandler. Funeral services for Elizabeth will be Friday, December 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM with gathering and visitation beginning one hour prior at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery. Contributions in Elizabeth's memory may be made to Daybreak Crisis Homes; and Erin's House for Grieving Children.
