Thank you Ed for the trust and honor of mentoring your daughter Beth, 30 years ago in the Big Brother/Big Sister program. We had so much fun and spent some real quality time together, it was the perfect match. Through the years our lives may have gone separate ways, but she's always held a special place in my heart and I am so glad to reunite with her again. However, neither of us planned our reunion to take place at the Funeral Home.... I look forward to many more years of camaraderie with her. You were her anchor but she has a strong support system in place and will get through this. Rest in peace, Jane Dellinger

Ed had a quiet kindness that reached out to many who knew him. And he had a great laugh that I will never forget. He truly cared about people deeply, but most of all his beautiful daughter Beth.  He loved her more than words will ever express. I recently spoke to Ed and he mentioned his brothers and sister and his other daughter Heidi and how much his family meant to him. Ed and I were very good friends starting in the 7th grade. We spent many hours talking about life, music, girls, cars, bowling, IU basketball,
tennis, and family. We had lots of talks with each others parents through the years. Ed was always someone you could count on and trust. We got together again as our children went to high school together. I will miss him as a very good friend.

Too which relative in heaven that is holding and walking and talking to my brother Ed, you have a very unique person their.Ed and myself growing up understanding every move,every thought , and every wish. We kept things in harmony.we knew each other well enough not too.!we had a lot in common be it collecting comic books, music, and out of all other likes no #1 was laughter and not just to ourselves but he loved too share just what he was crackalakin about. Ed you left this place called earth to rise up once again .now you are amongst angels and loved ones. I am very sorry for your loss.  My husband, Tom Fischer, was a cousin to Ed.

Ed was the Original Music man.  Loved his muisc as well as playing.  I will never forget his smile and his laughter. Even when you thought you weren't going to return after our trip to Iowa.  Ed you keept reading that same paragraph from the newspaper over and over because you were scared..haha.  You kept texting Beth telling her how scared you were of my driving. Even so when he would keep saying "Dee your baaaad..your baaad" and then laugh after he would say it.  He kept saying I corrupted Beth..HAHA. He was a great man all around. Ed is the kind of guy that if you needed a shirt, he would give you the shirt off his back.  Even if it was the only shirt he owned.  He was a simple man. Didn't need much. He went on to tell me one night at one of his gigs that he and his daughter, Beth, whom is my best friend, that they are simple people. They don't need a whole lot as long as they had friends and family that cared and loved them.  Ed you made your mark on this earth.  You have left many us with many fond memories to cherish through the years.  You will live through each and everyone one of us that that knew and loved and you.  You willl never be forgotten. Love you Ed.  Rest in Peace!

I had the pleasure of working with Ed at Elmhurst.  He was a wonderful assistant to the students and myself.  Ed was a very kind and gentle man who cared about every individual in our room.  He will be missed by many.

I worked with Ed for a few years. He was a great man, I learned a lot from him. Your family is in my prayers.

Mr Eduardo, I would like to give you my respects and the years I've known you were so amazing and thanks for being part of my family as well when I was around. Sad to know your gone and more sad the family ,and especially Elizabeth has to go threw your passing. You will always have a part in my heart, so now its time to take the music ministry into the heavens and play for us from above as we will all still be hearing you play those bongos like you always did Mr Eduardo.

You are and will always be my world. I look back on so many memories of my life and you just seem to always be there. Teaching me to swim, me dancing on your feet. Saturday morning with Santana playing and dancing around the living room and who can forget the smell of sun tan lotion blowing in the breeze as we were heading to the pool. You gave me life twice dad. Once at birth and the second time when you fought for this scared little girl to be with you forever. We were each others best friends. At times as a little girl, I acted like your wife/mother more than your daughter but you didn't seem to mind. Lettuce sandwich for work. and me sewing holes that were in your socks. We always laughed about that but you never minded it one bit. You always said you loved my sandwiches because I made them. And I took pride in that. You taught me how to love with judgment. How everyone was equal and no matter what life throws at you, you get up and keep going. How do you say goodbye to that? How do you let go of your hero? You don't. You will live in everything I do and every move I make. Get ready pa we are going to the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame this summer. I love you to the moon and back. This is not goodbye dad, this is until I see you again. Give grandma and grandpa a big hug and kiss for me.

i am very very sorry for your loss beth. i cannot believe we lost both of our dads a month apart.

He was a very nice man I remember going with Beth to watch him play in a band which he was really good at doing and loved to play. I also remember last yr he had a flat tire at his house and I tried to change it for him but didn't have the right equipment for the job. Also remember all the times I went to mow trim for Beth and her mom Ed was there and we would sit and talk for a little while. He will surely be missed
