Edward Otto Bowser III, 64, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born July 12, 1956 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Edward and Patricia (Wyans) Bowser. A graduate of Columbia City High School, Edward furthered his education at Fort Wayne Community College studying computer programming. He worked at North American Van Lines before accepting a job offer in Concord, California, where he resided for 20 years before moving back to Fort Wayne. An avid reader, he also enjoyed outer space, especially watching NOVA, and comedian actors such as Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and Ricky Gervais. Edward believed in the motto “Acta non Verba” meaning “Actions, not Words”. Mostly, he treasured the time spent with his family and grandchildren. He loved spoiling his grandchildren even if that meant he would have to go without. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Robbin Lynn (Shelton) Bowser of Fort Wayne; sons, Charles William Bowser of Auburn, Ind., and James Jackson Bowser of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Charmais Strait, James Harris Bowser, and Presley; sister, Charity Bowser-Wilson of California; nephew, Christopher Bowser of Colorado along with several other nieces and nephews; and best friend, Gabe Turk of California. His sister, Nancy Bowser, also preceded him in death. For online condolences, please visit www.advantagemungovan.com.
