Obituary of Donna Jean Moore
Donna Jean (Ullom) (Jackson) Moore of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was the daughter of Harry Dewey Ullom and Alice Ruth (Daugherty) Ullom and was 91 years of age when she died Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne. Born in 1933 in Farmland, Randolph Co., Ind., she was a 1950 graduate of Lincoln School in Randolph Co. where she attended grades 1-12. She and her first husband Gene Jackson were married 22 years and had four daughters. She is the widow of her second husband Russel “Russ” Moore. They shared a happy 35 years of marriage in which they traveled across the USA, wintered in Florida in their motor home, were avid Indiana University basketball fans, and enjoyed family activities when they were at their home in Fort Wayne. Donna will be remembered as a wonderful mother, wife, sister and friend, a great cook and very organized in everything that she did. She worked at Indiana Bank, Peter Eckrich and Lassus Brothers, all in their bookkeeping departments. She was mother and step-mother to Marta (Michael) Vaillancourt of Fort Wayne, Michael (Patricia) Moore of Dunkirk, Ind., Glenn (Becky) Moore of Fort Wayne, Laura (Jackson) Champion of Angola, Ind., Clint (Renee) Moore of Roanoke, Ind., Laura (John) Thomas of Markle, Ind., Rhonda (Michael, deceased) McClure of Churubusco, Ind., and Gina (Jackson) Malloris of Fort Wayne. She was grandmother to Mallory (Kent) Sallaz, Alexandra (Kaleb) Kern, Angela (Matthew) Magers, Jason (Amanda) Moore, Nicholas Junk, Arica Keller, Lindsey Junk, MD, Logan Moore, Melissa (Justin) Gerdom, Joshua Greaf, Aaron McClure, Jessica McClure, and Mason Malloris. She was also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was sister to Bettie Bolinger Garner, deceased and Gary (Marilyn) Ullom. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 1:00pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6600 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne.
