Donald W. DeCamp, 81, passed away on May 11, 2021. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 29, 1940, the son of the late Alfonso and Eliza (McNeal) DeCamp.
Don was a graduate of New Haven High School in 1959. He had retired from Zollner Corporation after 30 years of employment. After his retirement he had his own Dry Wall business that he ran for few years. He also worked at Carl's Tavern in New Haven for 20 plus years.
Don was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed watching Sunday Football, and was a member of the Navy Club. In his early years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and he was also a Johnny Cash fan. Don loved watching the birds off his deck.
He is survived by his children, Jon (Stacey) DeCamp, Gary DeCamp and Jeff (Denise) DeCamp; grandsons, Nicholas DeCamp and Zach Robbins; sister, Barbara Hollowell; significant other, Patricia Goings; extended family; Debra Peterson, Sandy Fackler, Sherry Janda and Karen Jones; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso DeCamp and Eliza DeCamp; step mother, Virginia DeCamp; brother, Robert DeCamp and sister, Jean Carrol.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 with calling one hour prior at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
