Don, the youngest of nine children, was born on February 8, 1928, to Louis Damien Bosse and Ina Mae (Roth) Bosse in Goshen, Indiana. In 1946, he graduated from Goshen High School, and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948, earning the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).
After returning home from his service, Don married Isabelle Anne Duwelius and embarked on a career in accounting, culminating in several years as the Chief Contract Administrator for the U.S. Department of Defense in Fort Wayne.
Don was an active member of the Mizpah Shrine Bagpipe Band for many years. He enjoyed reading, current events, traveling, and in recent years, his men’s Bible study group. Don also had a wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Isabelle; daughters Cynthia Anne Taylor (Dennis) and Rebecca Kay Gill (Robert); son, Thomas Eugene Bosse (Lea), as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Although the family is deeply saddened, we take solace in the knowledge that Don knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He has fought the good fight, he has finished his race, he has kept the faith, and he has heard our Lord proclaim, “Well done, good and faithful servant”.
Celebration of Life is 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 6, The Towne House Retirement Center Chapel, 2209 St. Joe Center Rd, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior.
