Diane Munroe

Diane Munroe, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away January 9, 2024. Daughter of William and Ruth Munroe. Diane was a creative, free spirit. She enjoyed fashion and could turn a lace tablecloth into a shawl and make it look good. Her love of music stayed with her to the very end. She had a beautiful singing voice and talent for playing guitar. Diane could make friends in an instant and always had something witty to say. She was in many ways a renaissance person with a variety of interests and knowledge on many subjects. Brought up in the church and grounded in faith she returned to the Lord later in life. She attended Fellowship Missionary Church and loved singing in the choir. She is survived by her two daughters, Rachel Austin and Corrie Hollifield; grandmother of Aidian Austin, Austin Refeld, Aurora Austin, Torryn Austin, Aeris Hollifield, and Rhyker Hollifield. Diane was loved by her siblings, Craig Munroe, Donna Noble, Rick Munroe and Michele Fields; her aunt, Lynda; and her many nieces and nephews. Adam Austin, her son preceded her in death. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Fellowship Missionary Church 2536 East Tillman Road Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions can be made to Lutheran Life Villages or Avenues Recovery Ministry.
