David P. Molfenter

David P. Molfenter, 79, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Stillwater Hospice. He was born March 28, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Emil and Ann (Menchen) Molfenter. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda; two sons, Michael (Erin) Molfenter and Brian (Amy) Weaver; seven grandchildren, David Molfenter, Vivienne Molfenter, Eva Molfenter, Rachel (Drew) Brandenburg, Elaine (Gavin) Williams, Lauren (Reagan) Bingham, and Claire Weaver; and a brother, Gerald (Joan) Molfenter. David enjoyed woodworking, trains, and playing golf. Some of his most cherished moments were spending time with his family and playing Legos with his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, especially the trip to Ireland, Germany and Italy. He also continued his support of local businesses and foundations, serving on the board at Spartan Corporation, Bowmar LLC, and Purdue University Ft. Wayne Foundation. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke immediately following the funeral service. Memorial donations in David’s memory may be directed to Purdue Fort Wayne Foundation or Easterseals Arc.
