Courtney Marie Ertel-Brown

Courtney Marie Ertel-Brown, 24, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 in New Haven, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN to Todd Ertel and Shawna Gunder. Courtney was a graduate of New Haven High School. Always being a hard worker, she worked through high school at Golden Years Nursing Home. Most recently, she worked with WaterFurnace International. Courtney was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed softball and was crafty. People will always remember her contagious smile and her unwavering ability to light up a room. Surviving are her parents, Todd (Karen) Ertel and Shawna (John) Gunder; her beloved children, Miley, Adalynn, Autumn, and Wiley IV; brothers, Cody (Alyssia) Miller; Jacob (Brittney) Miller, Korey (Adeline) Beber, Adam Beber, Eric Beber, and Damien Cross; sisters, Stephanie (James) Welch, Courtney Wyrick, Raegan Gunder, Hannah Gunder, Abigail Wyrick, and Lydia Wyrick; paternal grandmothers, LaVon Ertel and Greta Doty; maternal grandparents Bernie (Linda) Voirol, Hank (Terri) Gunder, Jan Gunder-Smith, and Sherron Wyrick; step-parents, Kelli Beber, and Marty (Molly) Wyrick; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends. Courtney was preceded in death by grandparents, Wayne Ertel, Raymond Doty, and James Wyrick. Funeral service is 10AM Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home Lakeside Park 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior to the service. Calling 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home.
