Constance “Connie” Lou Hicks, 75 passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN., the daughter of the late William B. and Frances M. Vannatter. She graduated from Central High School in 1965. Connie was a Clerk with the Allen County Superior Court for many years. She was a former member of St Charles Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 47 Axillary. Connie was an avid reader, enjoyed working cross word puzzles and cooking. She was a great host and caregiver and loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Ball, Abbey Hicks, step-son Christopher S.(Erin) Hicks all of Fort Wayne, IN; 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Jay D. Hicks and her sister Victoria L. Wuebbenhorst.
Funeral service will be 1pm Wednesday December 22. 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday December 21, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
