CLARENCE E. COOK, 89, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012. Born Jan. 28, 1923, in Mt. Carmel, Ill., he was the son of the late Ben and Gerdie Cook. He worked for Nickel Plate Railroad for 31 years and also served for his country in the Navy and fought at Pearl Harbor, and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 857. He is survived by his wife, June Cook; son, Greg (Beverly) Cook; grandsons, Brad (Jennifer) Cook and Chris (Melissa) Cook; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with viewing one hour prior. Viewing also from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials to June Cook.
