Christa E. (Smith) Jones, 48 of Fort Wayne, IN (Cartersville, GA) was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Born on May 16, 1973 to Larry and Phyllis Smith, Christa was the oldest of 3 girls. Christa loved children and spent her time here working in education, childcare and children’s homes.

Christa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; she loved cooking and she loved having her loved ones over for dinners and the holidays.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her father, Larry (Marie) Smith of Fort Wayne, IN, daughters, Jaelyn, Jai and Johnna of Cartersville, GA, grandson, Baley, whom she adored, sisters, Yolanda of Fort Wayne, IN, Karla of Pembroke Pines, FL, nephews, Deonte’ and Rodney, both of Fort Wayne, IN, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Christa was preceded in death by her loving mother, Phyllis L. Smith, whom she missed dearly.

Christa, her caring, loving and nurturing spirit along with her beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
