Charlie Morris Jr.

Charlie moved to Fort Wayne in 1968. He was previously employed by Stoops Freightliner.

Charlie accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was a member of Freedom Worship, under the leadership of his sister, Pastor Alice Kelsaw.

Charlie was a loving father, brother, and uncle. He loved shopping. Sometimes he would make two or three trips a day to the grocery store. He loved spending time with his two sons.

Charlie Morris transitioned from this life into eternal reward on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Charlie leaves to cherish his memory; his two sons, Charlie (Gennan) Morris III, Jonathan Morris, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his stepchildren, Jamarcus and Nicole Schohl, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one brother, Phillip (Gail) Morris of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his sisters, Shirley White of St. Paul, Minnesota; Alice (Robert) Kelsaw; Catherine Brewer, Frances Anderson, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his grandchildren, Christopher, CJ, Jordan, Josh, Tray, Jashaun and Jariren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Rosie Morris; his wife, Michelle (Schohl) Morris; his siblings, Theodia Morris, Richard Morris, Ceola Greenhill and Willie B. Moore.

A visitation for Charlie will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Providence Baptist, 2317 Holton Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46803, followed by a service at 11:00 AM.
