CHARLES R. PUTT, returned his soul to his loving Heavenly Father on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021. Surrounded by members of his loving family, he completed his earthly journey at home. Charles was born on Nov. 10, 1940 and lived most of his life in Fort Wayne where he graduated from South Side High School, attended IUPU (at that time) in Fort Wayne and worked for 45 years in the mortgage lending business. Charles was a devoted Notre Dame football fan and IU basketball fan talking during all the games with his best friend, Don. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Susan; loving children, Nicole and Gregory; special granddaughters, Stephanie (Kayla) and Shannon; great-granddaughter, Chole; many nieces and nephews; and sister, Carol (Larry) Robb. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Catherine; brother, Jerry; and devoted dog, Jill. Private Services will be held at a later date. "Much gratitude extended to Dr. Greg and Sue Hoffman, Dr. Sreenivasa Nattam, Dr. John Falatko, Eleos Hospice and many more caregivers." Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 W. Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne.
