Obituary of Beverly Sue Bishop
Beverly Sue Bishop, 83, of Grabill, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn, Indiana. She was born August 29, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Wayne and Pauline Nangle. Beverly graduated from Hazel Park High School, in Hazel Park, MI, in 1957. She was an Executive Secretary at Magnavox for 26 years, retiring in 1994. Beverly was a member of Grabill Missionary Church. She enjoyed crafts and making handmade cards for the church and to send to those serving in the military. After their retirement, she and her husband had four antique shops in Auburn, Angola, Leo, and Grabill, IN. Beverly is survived by her children, Brenda (John) Marty of Columbia City, IN, Sandra (Joe) Lobraico of Indianapolis, IN, Debra (Matthew) Blair of Auburn, IN, Carla (Tim) Helmke of Grabill, IN, Joseph (Lana) Bishop of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Ashley (Tim) Hughes, Eric (Chris) Marty, Zachary (Heidi) Helmke, Gabe (Melody) Helmke, Samantha Brinkman, Cory Helmke, Chris Marty, Ryan Blair, Logan Sagstetter, Bryce Helmke, Rachel Blair, Hannah Bishop; 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Louise Nangle; and her beloved dog, Mimi. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, John Bishop; grandson, Matthew Marty; and her brother, Donald R. Nangle. A funeral service to honor Beverly's life and legacy will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, November 21, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation 2 hours prior, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Perry Township Cemetery, Huntertown, Indiana. Memorial donations in her honor may be directed to Mary Martha Ministries or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
