Betty D. Rudd

Betty D. Rudd, 91, of Garrett, passed away on February 21, 2020. Born on April 2, 1928, in Rochester, New York, she was a daughter of the late Gordon Dickinson, and Evelyn (Lavine) Schad. Betty graduated from Heidelberg College, in Tiffin, Ohio, with a degree in teaching Home Economics. Betty and her husband Jim, enjoyed traveling the United States, while working for the Loyal Order of the Moose. She was a long time resident of Palmetto, Florida, and a member of Palm View Baptist Church, in Palmetto, while living in Florida, Betty enjoyed walking the sandy beaches of Coquina, and enjoyed the sunsets.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Betty) Fritz, of Tiline, Kentucky, Sue (Gordon) Snell, of Garrett, and Jim (Laura) Rudd, of Florida; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Christine), Daniel, Michelle (Pat), Marisa, Angie (Robert), Tim (Tiffani), and Sami; 16 great-grandchildren, Emma, Holley Kate, Cole, Hannah, Libby, Hannah, Ashton, Gabe, Maddy, Carrie, Aly, Mia, Jaxon, Rorri, Brody, and Kylie; sister, Korleen (Dave Hanning) Dickinson; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Rudd, in 1996; daughter, Kathleen Rudd, in 1968; and granddaughter, Carrie Snell, in 1982.
Funeral service will be 3:00pm, Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 1:00pm, until time of service.
