Betty Joan Jeffers

Betty Joan Jeffers, 91, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born September 30, 1931 in Albany, IN., the daughter of Clarence and Alma Conn. She graduated from Albany high school, after graduation she worked for Dr. Jerome Scheidel’s, dental office in Albany, until moving to Fort Wayne in 1974. Later in her life she worked for Essex Corporation until she retired. Mom always enjoyed playing church hymns on her organ, loved working in her yard, and fishing whenever she could. We would like to thank her caregiver Deleen, for her years of caring, spoiling and most of all loving our mom. She made her last years of her life the best they could be. Deleen was her angel on earth. Tiffany for her always giving me a respite when needed .My cousin Debbie who was always there when I needed her. The family would also like to thank all the hospice staff for all their support and loving care. She is survived by son, Tony (Yulonda) Jeffers of Muncie, IN; daughter, Teresa (John Gigli) Jeffers of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Evan (Gia) Jeffers, Levi and Jace Jeffers and great grandchildren, Mila and London. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Richard Jeffers, brother, Harold “Bud” Conn, sisters, Winifred “Winnie” Miller and Mary Jeanette Conn. Funeral Service will be 2pm Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home 6301 Fairfield Ave. Fort Wayne, IN., with visitation one hour prior.
