Betty Jean Henry

BETTY JEAN HENRY, 86, of Fort Wayne Ind., passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Pauline Rains. Betty loved the Lord, her family, and the simple joys in life such as cooking, beautiful skies, shopping, playing table games, watching ball games and hummingbirds on the porch, family time, and cuddling with Sophie the family cat. She found joy in finding ways to share the love she had for others. The gift of her presence in the lives of those who knew her will continue to be treasured. She is survived by her husband, Robert Henry; nine children, Stephen, Michael (Peggy), Brian (Lainie), Mark (Jayne), David (Soni), Daniel (Amy), Jeanne, Carol (Greg), Linda (George); 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by beloved son, Dennis. Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46815), with visitation one hour before the service. Visitation also from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 26, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grabill Missionary Church.
