Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home
Bernadine Eloise Bryant, 84, of Fort Wayne entered eternal rest on Friday, December 18th, 2020. The quintessential loving “mother to all,” Bernadine served her community as a registered nurse for 60 years, spending nearly half of that time as a school nurse for Fort Wayne Community Schools. As an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church for more than 50 years, Bernadine participated in the Ladies Guild, sang in the choir, made innumerable lifelong friends and was always ready with an encouraging word and loving smile. She enjoyed traveling, flea markets, crocheting, and above all, meeting people. Bernadine is survived by her sister, daughters, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Cook, husband of 26 years, Carl Bryant; and special friend of 20 years, Donald Webb. In a few months, Bernadine’s family looks forward to convening a celebration of the beautiful life of their beloved matriarch. Due to safety considerations regarding Covid-19, however, there are currently no plans to gather for services. If gifts in memoriam are desired, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made directly to the family care of Jennifer Bryant or Carla Bryant to assist with burial costs and other related family expenses at GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/7d00c5fd).
