IN THE CARE OF
Greenlawn Funeral Home
Amy Joy Schlatter, affectionately known as “Jersey” passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 7. Amy was born to Renee Schlatter (Fort Wayne) and Jon Schlatter (Fort Wayne) on September 6th, 1984; she is survived by her beloved son Cooper Riley (age 8), her parents, her siblings Tim Schlatter (Brandy) and Lisa Schlatter, and 4 nephews, Isaac, Adam, Alex, and Ethan.
Amy worked in Medical Records at Lutheran Hospital; prior to this she spent many years working in early childhood education. She was a kind and intentional person; she had an uncanny ability to give thoughtful and delightful gifts to both friends and family. She had a generous heart and her greatest joy was being an amazing and involved mom to Cooper. She was creative and crafty, which is reflected on the walls and shelves of her home. Growing up she loved going camping with her family, building giant snow forts, and playing at Packard Park, just down the street from her childhood home. She loved Hello Kitty, watching Marvel movies with her mom and Cooper, and taking weekend trips down to Indianapolis each year. She was a tender, patient, and loving soul who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Cooper’s educational fund through https://www.ugift529.com/ using code 20H-A43. Funeral service 6:00 pm Friday, June 12, 2020 at Greenlawn Funeral Home with calling from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm prior to the service.
