Alice N. Guevara

ALICE N. GUEVARA, 49, of Fort Wayne, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at Dupont Hospital. She was born July 22, 1964 in Fort Wayne. She worked in the cash and claims department at Walmart on Lima Rd., and leaves behind her friends there, as well as her friends at Lutheran Hospital and J.C. Penney. Alice will be remembered for her photography, scrapbooking and her love of going to garage sales, thrift stores and craft events. She is survived by her parents, Ernest and Shirley Guevara; sister, Joan Guevara; brothers, Edward Guevara, and Charles Guevara, all of Fort Wayne; aunts; uncles; cousins; and her beloved Alex, J.J., Mia, and Drew. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Candelario and Josephine Guevara, and William and Bernadette Sterling Sr. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Rd., with calling one hour prior. Father Mark Gurtner officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., with a Rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Burial at Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to Riley Children's Hospital or The Women's Bureau.
